Well the last month has just been amazing and filled with answered prayers galore. My desire for fellowship and friends has been just answered in an such an amazing way. The bible study I’ve joined is not only intellectually and spiritually filling as far as topics and studies go, but in a matter of one month, the group has grown from three to seven and we have all already become so close. It is definitely a group that I can rely on in times of need and one that I can be vulnerable in, so thank you all so much for your prayers that I would find a church and fellowship.

My friends Kumiko, Tania, and I rock-climbing with our church.
Summer in the City: Chicago
Another praise is that God revealed that he has definitely been leading me to go to Chicago for the summer to work with Here’s Life Inner City. I was accepted to help staff the project and I am just so excited! The project centers around going out into the community and onto the streets, working with the kids and high school students in the area, as well as working at local shelters and YMCA’s seeking to help meet people’s physical needs as well as their spiritual needs.
I will be leading what we call an action group of approximately 6 to 7 female college students in bible study, in learning different techniques of evangelism and what it is to step out in their faith as well as weekly discipling them one-on-one. After six weeks, the staff will turn over leadership of the project to the students and allow them to take ownership in what God has given them to do.
Pray that God would already be preparing the hearts of the students coming to serve the Lord this summer in Chicago and that the group that I lead will be able to come together and be vulnerable, seeking God’s will, that He would give me guidance and wisdom as to how best to lead, teach, and support these women, for safety, and most of all, that inner-city Chicago would just be changed this summer.
Every Student
As many of you know, I have been working on designing planners to be distributed on campuses nationally to students, each containing approximately 40 pages of evangelistic material. Our desire is that not only would students find the graphics attractive and pick them up, but that believing students would see these as opportunities to pass out and be able to strike up conversations and develop relationships with fellow students.
4greeks.org, the resource website for Christian students involved in fraternities and sororities, has been finished and uploaded. Praise God that it has already had over one thousand hits.
A new and exciting project that we’ll be starting soon is everygreek.com. Crusade hosts a website called everystudent.com where students can read about apologetics, get answers to current hot issues, and contact by email a Crusade staff member of their choosing to ask questions of and develop a relationship with a believer in a non-threatening manner.
Very exciting is the fact that the man who made classmates.com the most visited website on the internet through his marketing has decided to invest his own money in marketing everystudent.com and hopefully, everygreek.com to make them the most visited websites amongst students.
Prayer
Last September I was blessed with my first car and have just enjoyed being able to travel to the office and to campuses. However, a few weeks ago, my car died in a parking lot. God blessed me with a way to have it towed and repaired. Please pray that my little car Dionne would keep kicking for a few more years.
I’m also still raising support to reach my 100% goal as well as to go to Chicago for the summer. Pray that God would raise up the remaining funds needed to continue my internship as well as to spend the summer in Chicago. Thank you again for your prayers, they have helped me more than you know and I will continue to share the fruits of those prayers with you. God bless!
