This past month has been exciting as one of the projects I worked on this spring and summer came to fruition and was distributed to students. The 2005-2006 Student and Greek planners made their way on to several campuses nationwide and God has already been at work through them. Handed out free to students, the planners not only offer a student a way to get organized, but the first forty pages contain articles that deal directly with their lives as students and present the Gospel message. As staff and students alike pass out planners, sometimes with a survey, they often find they get into spiritual conversations with students.
“We have given away all of our planners and it has gone very well. We have seen several students trust Christ in the past 2 days as a result of evangelistic contacts that we got from giving away the planners.”
-Dave Thomas, Crusade Director at George Mason University
www.managingchaosonline.com is a new website we’ve developed to supplement the planners. It has a similar goal in providing articles dealing with student life such as relationships, finances, and academics, as well as presenting the Gospel. It provides a direct link to contacting Crusade staff on their campus with questions or requests todo programming in dorms and greek houses on topics such as timemanagement.
I was also blessed to be able to see God bring such joy to a dear friend of mine this past month as she wed an awesome man of God. Laura was my staff discipler my senior year at the University of Florida and God used her to have such an impact on my life. In the course of that last year, my life was totally changed and God led me into full-time ministry with Campus Crusade in part due to her influence. The weekend of the wedding was such a sweet time to be able to spend with her and my friends Chrissanna and Kelley, both former UF alumni and discipled by Laura.
